he's talking about extreme heat, probably in the south west... that coupled with low fuel will heatsoak the fuel causing his problem... he may also have the fuel heater stuck on which would make it worse.

ok, just got back from hunting up in Northern California (Modoc). Didnt get a deer, but everyone else did . Anyhow, Fuc*in' did it again!!!!! IT was like 35 degrees, so its not a temp issue... I had the breaker pulled, and same effect.I had like 7/8th of a tank. It seems with it idels for a long time, it has an issue... It went awayafter I had the throttle @ 1500 or higher, and went back to normal....My father-in-law suggested taking the Edge chip out.... What does everyone think???

is this the 1st time it acted up since early sept? I'm wondering if your loosing rail pressure, do you have a gauge in your setup?
Is there any black smoke when it's failing?

Sounds like your lift pump is having a hard time getting fuel to your injection pump on a low tank (lift pump going bad). That in return will give you low rail pressure. Over time you keep running it. You will have injector and injector pump isssues. Especially running a tuner (Edge). I would fork out $200-$400 to get an aux. lift pump (Glacier, BD Performance, FASS, etc....). I never had or heard of fuel being too hot to have a truck run bad.
