Only when its hot....
I have a 05 2500 HO 4 door CTD w/ Edge 1000 chip with 78,000 miles. This first started happening early this summer when it was hot. I was sitting in a mexican drive through, and I was sitting idle for 10 minutes in the blazing heat. I was a little low on gas, and then it started running rough, then died. I had to get 3 mexicans to push me out of the drive thru. I thought it was bad fuel, and the summer has been prety mild. I just changed the fuel filter and I have 7/8 of a tank when it all started happening again...
Well, its blazing hot today, and yesterday. I have been getting p0193 (high rail presure) warnings. They come and go, and seems to be no big deal.
Today and yesterday, it just about stalled. I had to keep it reved up when I was sitting at a light (P0193 is the only code). No white, or execusive smoke was coming out. When i was able to get it up to speed, it seemed ok. Funny thing is if it let it sit for a couple hours (cools down) its all good.......
Any thoughts????? Maybe one of the pistons is cold? Im clueless

Agreed... sounds like your fuel is running too hot. I bet it rattles like hell too. if possible, next time your tank is low and you know it's going to be hot, park your truck in the sun and let it get heat soaked (it'll be painful I know) then see if you have the same problem. then if you can get it over to a station to fill it up, then once full, try to duplicate your problem. I'll bet it wont die. the fuel out of the station tank will be fairly cool in comparison to your fuel in the tank, this will confirm that your experinecing problems with hot fuel.
another thing you can do is yank your fuel heater relay, it may be stuck on...

thats what I dont get. I had about 7/8th of a tank. It seems when it cools down (after 3 hours or so), its like nothing ever happend..... very concerned being in an intesection and I loose all power.... really sucks....
the rattleing, yes, feels like its almost out of fuel, but I know I just filled it up. It seems when I have been on a trip for, say 1/2 an hour on the freeway, get off, do a quick stop, get back in again, its like its out of gas... My confidence is shaken when it acts like this, but I have to think it has something to do with the heat.... Would putting in an afe stage 2??????
Still perplexed...

I'm thinking your lift pump is killing out. . .but heres the question. . .do you have a filter canister mounted pump, or an in tank pump?
the canister mounted pump will be on the back side of the fuel filter. if you turn your key to run you will hear it running under the hood, it is pretty good sized and about 3" tall. if all you have are fuel lines going to the back of the filter canister then you have a tank pump, and the only way to get it fixed is to drop the tank[:@]

I have a tank pump
I took the fuse out for the heater relay... I didnt get a change to run the temp up today, so i will try again tomorrow.
I left out a piece of info when it died in the past in the drive thru (I had less then 1/4 of a tank). After a few minutes (of it diying), I was able to get it started, made it to the gas station, filled up, and it was like a new truck, and was running as normal.... So, i have to agree with the mentality that the fuel is getting hot. I will contiue to try and diagnose, but THANKS SO FAR for all the great suggestions....
Oh, the dealer said my warenty expired at 70k, so i am on my own. I dont want to sink any $$ into the local dealer. they were not able to figure out the issue like Drew and Steve05 did... thanks guys you rock!!!
