Default Lift pump

This is just a reminder...I know you have seen it here many many times, but the first guage you should buy is a fuel pressure guage. My lift pump went out on Thursday, and luckily I saw the fuel pressure drop and did not do any damage to the high pressure pump. I ordered the FASS system95/150 based upon Mayfair and Drews remarks. Thanks guys and I can't wait to get this in and get going. I am without a vehicle right now as the tranny in my CJ7 took a crap this week as well.

Once I get college paid for I'm buying gauges. Just wondering how I'll install them since I'll be across oklahoma from my tools.

I got the tools, just during college I have time to do this all in a day, just not enough time to run home. But I'm sure I can find someone with a drill. I carry wrenches with me and electrical wire. Its the electrical I'll have the most trouble with.

I'll admit the elecrical was the most difficult part of the job for me, but only because of the rats nest under my dash left from the alarm guy's. Once I found the wire I was looking for, it was a piece of cake. All of the gauges use the same wire for power, and the same power for lights. Finding a power line was easy, but finding a line that works on the headlight switch was the challenge. Once I found it, the job was pretty much done and over at that point.

If I were you, I'd just get a test light at Harbor Freight or something for like 3 dollars or something. Then, when you have a little spare time, just poke around under your dash until you find the wires you'll need and mark them with some tape once you find them. That way, when you finally do get your gauges, the hard part will be done already.

I just found out good news. College major I'm taking gives me a 50% discount on all name brand tools. So I think I'll try bout 2000 dollars of Snap-on tools. What do you think? Been told while I have the deal to just buy all I can so I have them. Life-time Warranty.

Finally a plus of going in the Military instead of college - - on base you've got a massive shop with a bijillion tools in it. It is only something silly like $5 an hour and that gets you everything inside

I knew if I looked hard enough to find an explination for the path I took.

Plus I think mine is acting up - - I'm not driving it today [:@][:@][:@][:@] so I have no clue what the code is though. But it is in the capible hands of the hubby so he should be able to figure it out. FASS here I come $[:'(]$[:'(]$[:'(]$[:'(]$[:'(]$[:'(]$

But you don't own the tools, so ha. And yes I'll get torque wrench and the whole setup for deisel engines. Gas compression is just diesel engines turned gas, makes me cry but it pays well.
