Diablo Power Puck
Does antone have one of these? I just bought one for my new truck(got a good deal that I couldn't refuse)and was wondering how these thing are. I think that they are all pressure and no timing but I am not sure. If so would it hurt the truck if I just left it setting on the 90hp setting all the time or should I just leave it on the 60hp setting? Also is the diablo predator programmer detectable if I take it in for warrenty? I can also get one of them real cheap.
it is pressure/timeing. . .and leave it on the 60hp setting or you may have issues with your tranny.
the one thing you have to watch out with most programmers is they will erace the HR meter, or the key-on count. the dealer will see these changes to the computer and say you ahve been useing something, then you can say bye bye to your warranty. the only one I ahve heard of that maintains all the proper codeing for the computer is the smarty which makes it harder for the dealer to see.

I shouldn't have problems with my tranny since I see that you have 392hp on stock clutch. And I wont be towing much at all if any.
Also let me see if I got this right, The power puck is pressure and timing?
and the predator is detecable. I also thought that it was detectable but wasnt sure.
I would love to get the smarty but it costs way tooooooooooooo much for me.

if you have an auto the torque converter will start to slip on anything above 75hp. if you have the 6spd then yea, push it to the 90hp setting. I keep my TST at 4/3(95hp/180tq on the dyno this actualy got me 375hp)

ahhh. . .I thought you had an auto. . .anyway, pressure boxes of today are better than they were back in 03. they ramp the pressure up differently and wont over pressure the system. I still have personal issues with pressure boxes used by themselves, however stacked with a timeing/duration box I dont see a problem
I have had one for about 3 weeks and I like it. I noticed a 1-2 mpg increase on the 60 hp setting. I haven't driven much on the 90 hp setting because I am running the auto. I think you'll like it. I have only towed once, but I put it back to stock because I didn't want to hurt anything.
