Try backing up something that is so small you can't even see it in your mirrors. Like a log splitter. I had to put 2 orange flags on a fiberglass whip (like a dune buggy), just so I could tell where the rear end of the spltter was pointed. Also backing up my old 69 Karman Ghia when it was hooked up to a tow bar was pure fun. Turn it too sharp and the bumper busted out the headlight. But since it had 4 wheels and a front pivot, it did not behave like a trailer.

you re not suppoesed to back up air cooled vw's

the tow bars are made for point to point drop. then ya roll it into position.....

do ya still have it??? any pics????

I'm sure you're right and that my whole problem is that the trailer is so short ( only 12' ). I guess I'll just hafta stop worrying now that I know that everyone has the same problems with smaller trailers. I thought it was just me.

Someday hopefully my fears of backing in between trees on a narrow road will vanish.
