Default 6.7 fuel milage

I have a '07' 6.7 auto 3500 with 6,000 miles. My milage is crap! Getting 10 mpg hwy and 7 to 8 pulling a 12,000 lb trailer.
Started out at 13 and now down to 10. Truck runs great and has good power. I have a 6" lift and 37" tires. My hopes were 20 hwy and 15 towing......any thoughts?

20and 15 might come after you get 100k on your truck. My 04 started out at 13 and 15 . Now Im at 110k and I get 15 to 20 depending on my driving and towing habits. It takes a few miles to get em broken in so be patient.

Ive never heard of anyone with MONSTER tires on a CTD brag on great mpg's. After the new wears off of it we often tend not to drive these trucks as hard and the mileage picks up. If its not throwing a CEL I would stay away from the stealer.

I'm still in the break in phase myself....only got 1500 miles on an '07 2500 QC LB 4x4 with 6spd manual...started out at 16.1 per computer/13.6 manual calculationon first tank, increased to 16.7 computer and 15.0 manual calc on second and third tank was up to 17.5 computer and 16.1 manual calculation. That's running with no trailer...haven't pulled a trailer yet. Running stock tires. Hoping for it to get better....
