Only one battery?!?
Hi All,
I did a search on this and didn't find what I was looking for. I just bought a new 2007 Ram 2500 with the 6.7L CTD. I just noticed today as I was changing out the 'break-in' oil that there is only 1 battery installed. The tray and wiring is there for the second battery, but only the drivers side battery is there. Is this right? Or did the dealership pull a fast one on me? Someone please let me know what is supposed to come with the truck before I jump someone's a$$ at the dealership.
Thanks!!!

i think they need both due to the current draw for the starter at startup .. and in cold conditions i believe they are used to supplement some power draw for the intake air heater for easier starts.. but if i am wrong someone will correct it..
Our startewrs pull a lot fo draw, turning our motors over are not nearley as easy as it is to turn say a 5.7 hemi. look at the size of our sarter and while it is turning it over there is a heating grid that is pulling juice as well. Get to the dealer get your battery and tel them they better give you a couple free oil changes as well.
Thanks everyone! I'll get the dealer on the phone today and get this straightened out.
