Commerce this weekend ....
Went to Commerce this weekend and had a great time. We meet up with Nick " nickbeek" and his son and hung out throughout the day. Man was it HOT !! It was good to see you Nick. The wife enjoy your company while I was on the track.
Anyway, I was able to make 9 runs down the 1/4 and never left the 13's. I'm sure my truck can be into the low 12's if i were to take off the 37's and run smaller tires. We'll see how that goes next season.
I was running the Bully Dog 2.4.1 but, believe it didn't give me all the power I could have used. In fact, I lost a horse and some torque on the dyno using it as opposed to the Smarty. I was pretty mad also that I needed a " code " from BD to deal with the torque management. With it disabled I could have done better on my 60ft times and maybe even ET's. What's with having to call them.... I paid for the box.. it should have come with it.
I never installed the Smarty at the track do to it's ridiculous amount of timing. Before going to the track I tried all the beta's and none did very well on my truck. Don't get me wrong, I always liked the smarty and it works great on a stock truck but, with a engine built like mine.... it didn't play well. I may have hit 12's using it but...at what cost ! I am looking forward to seeing what Marco will do with any newer softwares.
Anyway, I have a line on a different set up with different electronics which I think will get me to those 12's easily.
I managed to make it into the second round of eliminations in the ET bracket and then red lighted against one of the TS performance truck. I would have had him
I have video but, will have to get a connector for my computer so it will be a day or two and I'll try to post them.
here's the ticket from my best run and the dyno sheet. I only had the speed limiter on the BD set to 120mph or the dyno result would have been better. It died at 120mph... not bad though for a 8900lbs truck lifted 6"s on 37's.

RE: Commerce this weekend ....
your truck is a beast..it was sweet watching it on the track the few times i got to see it. I got a few pics of you at the start next to the tree, and also of you runing the track. ill get them up soon.
altogether, there weren't as many trucks there as I thought, but the dyno and diesel runs were for sure an awesome thing!....

Here is my boy sitting inthe driver's seat of THE GREEN TEAM's 9.5 second cummins powered race truck. What a cool bunch of guys on that team! They gave him an autographed picture, and a hat, and let him sit in the truck!
