Default Annoying Squeal

I have noticed a high pitched sqealing coming from somewhere in the front of my truck. I thought it was the brake pad wear tabs so I replaced the pads. They were not worn enough for the tabs to cause the noise. It is still squealing and getting worse every time I drive. It first started only when I was going above about 50 mph and it was very faint. Now it is at all speeds and gets pretty annoying at high speeds. I really have no idea what it could be. Anyone have any ideas?

could be a wheel bearing. . .you can change out the whole assembly, or knock out the bearings and repack them. there is a how to in the FAQ thread at the top from lesimon

take a hose and rinse the front wheels off and spray the calipers, or remove the wheels and use brake kleen on the calipers and disks.

if ya use water, let it drip dry before drivin far.

it only squeels during drive time?

Yes. The sqealing doesn't change when the brakes are applied. I'll try cleaning and see if it helps. Thanks for the advice.

why don't you unlock the door and let the poor gal out...j/k

If it is only when moving you should be able to isolate it, and figure it out, maybe wheel bearing, could the front diff be low on fluid, (although I would think that to be more of a "howling" sound). Is it possible to jack up the front and with the vehicle in neutral, turn the wheel by hand and simulate the sound?

That's what I thought! If he's up there he's really good at hiding.

Seriously though, I will jack up the front end and see if the squeal is there when I spin the wheels. I don't think its the front differential, but is there a way to check the fluid level. I've been thinking of changing the differential fluid anyways. This might be a good time to do it.
