Default runnin bad

Hi i'm new to the forum and i have a question right off the bat. Any of you wrench turners out there know why my 2006 dodge qc 2500 cummins starts loosing power when i get down to a 1/4 tank. It even shut off on me friday. right at a 1/4 tank it starts running bad when you try to excellerate. I changed the fuel filter and air filter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like the intank pump is going dry due to improper instalation.

my opinion. . .drop the tank, yank it out, and put something else in place that wont cause you to have problems. . .FASS, or Walbro come to mind

If you got a tank of bad fuel, the inlet screen on the in tank pump may be clogged. I think there is a bypass inlet that would allow normal function until the fuel level is below it, then the clog would be an issue.

I don't know how to check for a bad in tank pump or a clog. It is not under warranty anymore. I;m kinda in a spot. Does anyone know how much a in tank pump costs?

The pump is under warranty up to 100k. I had mine replaced at 90k under warranty
