Blinking "LAMP OUT" ?!?!
this weekend i was driving and on my gauge panel right under the gear shift panel where it tells you what gear your in this orange light started flasing saying "lamp out" well i assumed its the trucks way of telling me that i have a burn bulb somewhere so i waited till it got dark and checked everything..... NOTHING,. they are all working 100% shineing at their brightest! well the nexy day the light dident come on so i figured it was nothing, well yesterday and today its been on the whole time and its not blinking no more and there is still nothing wrong with the lights.... anyone knw whats goin on?!?!
The 02 1500 I had was doing the same thing. It turned out to be the brake light on the driver side. The bulb in the middle had a loose connection,so I replaced it and everything was fine. The bulb I took out was fine it wasnt blown or anything. If I hit a bumb the light on the dash would come so I figured it was a bad connection somewhere. Hope this helps.
i had a buddy get out and check my lights while i was parked, everything worked but it wasnt in motion or going over bumps. now i would hope i dont have to go around my whole truck light to light and check connections but if this is the same problom you had im sure thats what it is..... i am not even gonna bother until somthing goes out...... thanks for posting!

Had the same thing on my 03 1/2 ton. I looked for weeks to find the problem. I finally found a little rust on the passenger side tail light assembly, where the bulbs plug in. I pulled all of the bulbs and cleaned the connection areas. Never had anymore problems. Mine also only did it on rough roads. Hope this helps.
well i am aure that all my bulbs are working, and my light is still on so i would assume from what all you guys are saying that its a bad connection some where.... ill have to check it out this weekend or somthing, there is alot of lights to check so hopfully i can modivate myself to start the checking game
thanks for the posts guys!

ive been meaning to get back to this thread and tell you all my problem but lost track of things... the problem was not a loss connection, a burnt out bulb, or a computer error! the problem was the DAMN FRIEND DOING THE LIGHT CHECK ME FOR[:@]!!!!! i had him walk around and check every light, the blinkers, the breaks, and reverse and he said everythings working. well it turned out to be a brake light out so f.y.i make sure you have someone w/ atleast some intelligence when doing a light check
