There went the new turbo!
Well so much for the new Turbo...Wife decided it was time....

The washer does spin at 1000 rpm and has a 1/2HP pump, and the dryer flows 165CFM of air. They both have the Smooth Balance Suspension System. What ya think??? Maybe add a lift to the suspension? Changegearing for more RPM?CAI for more Air flow?
if you think that's bad. . .here went a complete engine rebuild, suspension upgrade, and dual disk clutch. . .so far this A/C rocks
for those that are curious, Amana ASZ16036 two speed heat pump and ASX14024 compressor, AMV9570 95% efficient variable speed two stage furnace(for the main) and a AMH8080 furnace for the upstairs. with Aprialaire 2400 air cleaners on both.
the only thing I regret so far is I should have gone with another AMV95 for the upstairs. . but so far it is WAY better than the 4-6SEER compressors and 50% efficient furnaces I did have that were producing cabon monoxide[:'(]

I dunno where you live Drew but since I bought this house with AC I would never live without it again, even though the $400+ power bills in mid summer suck, 72 is way nicer than 115, I dont care how dry the heat is...
that sucks about the turbo... but clean clothesare nice...
Do you guys use whole house fans at all? Living in Sacramento, temps in the summer can pop over 100 15~20 times a year and we still hardly use the a/c... cool the house down at night with itand close it up during the day... put the a/c on to keep temps at 80~82 while your gone and 76~78 when you come back. then once temps drop below the insde temp, opwn the windows and kick the fan back on. works awesome. lower utility bills for sure. I dont think I had one over 100 bux all summer.

umm. . .every fan in this house is used. . .main problem I hvae, even though I like my house too much, is the way my house is constructed. . .vaulted ceilings with sky lights. . .of cource the old system was 23 years old and could only maintain the inside temps, this new one should do well and cut my bills in half if not more
