Took a quick over night run up to Mormon Lake , AZ. its a dry lake, but they have a pond for fishing..right next to the bar!!

sunday mornin kp for breakfast....34* at this time warmin slowly in the sun..air temp 100 ft or so was -27* in the breeze.





My bunk......no weather boot on shell to cab..so I draped a 11 1/2ft x 8 1/2ft tarp over to keep the rain out. the TALON toy hauler on the otherside is my father in laws where my "wife" and kids slept. fooy!! thats not campin!!!






the dogs slept in here too.

this is return home trip s why 87/ hwy 260 ......nice hair pin curve






to make the ride home worse. one hwy had an over turned fuel tanker that went off like a bomb. the other hwy had a fatality crash just north of Phoenix on the inbound approach. i was stuck in the mida of nowhere 30 miles north in traffic.
7 hrs to get home vs 2.5 - 3 [:@]

dropped the camera under the front seat and couldnt find it. i did smoke a joke up heavy grade though!

that is a funny question. guessin its the age of the truck. the power jokes and duramax will not race me or even give me a socond look when I power brake or rev it at a light. .....what ever....

Did you hear about Hwy 87 north/sounth bound being closed due to a tanker roll over this past weekend, and another accident on I-17 south bound causing a 15+ mile backup?! I was stuck in it and it was sooooo much fun! lol NOT!

 

we got to payson and were told to reroute to I-17 via strawberry and hwy 260. stuck on the platau for hrs ..whats that rest stop on I-17 ..sunset point??? saw it for hrs....
