quick note...DON'T be laying directly under it, when you loosen the factory one to remove it...Not that I did that, I would never do something as stupid as that....Quick note number 2...Tranny fluid does not smell like aftershave, no matter how hard you try to convince the wife.

My 06' reads around 170- 185 just normal driving. I have seen 200 when towing in the hills. This reading from the edge attitude monitor that gets it from the computer. Not sure where the pick up is.

drew,

i just installed all the edge juice with attitude senoirs, but the one I havent put in yet is the tranny temp. because you have the change the fluid and everything after u put it in and i just change it a lil while ago.

should i just leave it any not install it untill i need another fluid change, or should i install asap with the edge?

Why would you have to change the fluid to put in the sensor?

just a quick update.. I have been driving the truck for a couple days now.. I have not seen the temp go above 150ish... it goes back down quikly at stop signs and such... Guess I will have to hook up the 37' fifth wheel RV and see how she goes..

depends on the placement of the pickup. . .is it one that goes in the pan, then yea, you'll need to dump the oil. . .however if it is taking temp in one of the cooling lines you shouldnt have to.
