drivin to work this mornin at 4am, my radio kept loosing power . turn signal killed the radio as well as the a/c doin the same. guess my alt finally has bitten the dust. got a great rate from Carquest (since I have an account there ) so I am replacin it here shortly.

maybe a DIY????

had to knock out the bushing for the top bolt. factory bolt was bigger.


I will post the testing chart for this unit.

they do not have any output till 1280 rpm...at 50 amps....interesting.

 

At least yours didn't catch on fire and blow the 150 amp fuse like mine did!

I hear that CowboyBob. I had that happen on a '95 on Thanksgiving morning. And the great part is that the 150 amp fuse is pretty much a Dodge only part.

 

Im sure you all have seen me pitcha fit of and on here about the dang alternator voltage regulator goin in and out. well , it went out this mornin for the most part. I do appreciate the support on here guys!

www.fixinrams has the fix for the alternators. may want to check them out for a spare.
