Default throttle stickin

ok guys and gals.

I realize that I may be the sole owner of a first gen cummins here, but has anyone else exprienced their throttle pedal stickin in place and no goin down? on a couple occasions, I hit the trottle pedal and its like tryin to kick a block wall. it doesnt move!! after a few swift "re-adjustments" it gives in to sheer force. I am concerned maybe the cable or linkage may be fouled in some way.

any ideas would be much appreciated .

thanks

sounds like your linkage to your VE is either 1. binding up, or 2. the throttle arm on the VE is comeing up too high.

if #2, all you need to do is losten the jamb nut and move the arm down a few teeth.

Kevin just replaced his VE pump not long ago. . .I can understand it needing a few more adjustements to get everything right.
