I just removed my silencer ring. I guess I was wishing more for a sound like a C-130 turboprop ... instead it is more of a whirring sound like a weed eater. I'm a little dissapointed, I think.

Does it sound different from passerbyers or passengers? Than from the driver's seat?

 

nope, doesnt even really make a difference. everybody that does it is dissappointed until they switch out to a CIA. Then you can really hear it.

 

yup, agreed... mine is loud outside the truck. even at 70mph I still get people looking over at it

you can also gut the hard plastic piece of the intake. . .removal of the cross section baffel will realy make it loud.

 

I have the Cool Hose installed... I'm still dissapointed with the whirring sound.

Maybe I need someone to drive my truck past me so that I can hear it for myself.... but I don't any friends that I trust enough to drive my truck. [X(] (Well maybe my mom.)

 

i didnt like the sound untill i put my AFE stage 2 on...made it alot louder.and i love it now..
