Whats a better filter for the price? AFE stage 2 or the amsoil nano? The nano uses stock piping i believe and the afe stage 2 has its own. Any1 compare the 2?

 

i love my AFE STAGE 2....its great and can for sure tell the power and also the flow and hear the turbo alot more!!

amsoil is much cheaper and is good from stock to intermiated mods......

I agree with all the above comments. With the AFE stage 2 systems, the stock air tube is replaced with a less restrictive and larger one. The sound of the turbo whine is quite distinctive. I have not ever seen the Amsoil Nano filter, but with the AFE, even the top round surface of the filter has an area of filter. Unless you're opposed to turbo whine, the AFE stage 2 is not a bad choice. BTW, I do use Amsoil lubricants in every respect on my CTD, just not the air intake.

 

why on ebay is there a difference in price among AFE stage 2's? Some are $320 and others $380. Some say pro guard 7 and others not. are there different types of AFE stage 2 filter intake kits for 5.9l cummins 2004?
