The easiest way is to pull the breather element off the front cover (It's threaded and twist off after you pull the tube off of it) If you look in there with a mirror, you can see the tdc mark on the gear and cover. Line them up, then mark your balanccer to the front cover (use a paint pen or white out, ect) because that mark is for tdcc#1. after myou've adjusted the valves, roll the engine over to your paint mark and do the other set of valves.

are the specs the same for his motor? You should download the 2nd gen manual and verify... it's for a 2001 but should have the same motor as your truck IIRC.

well, after fighting with the injectors and getting to the very back one for a while...i decided i would save the adjustment for a later date. But it would be good to know if mine is suppost to b the same....I is .010 and E is .020 ??? if not i guess i need to look for it. Or find a DIY for my 2002 model.

Thanks!

Intake is .010 and exhaust is .020. If you look on your engine data plate on the driverside of the front cover, it'll have the spec on it

all of our engines will be the same when it comes to lashing the valves and the order. only difference is the valving.
