Hi guys!

I have a used 05 Ram 2500 with the 5.9L Cummins and auto tranny I picked up a month ago and I just bought the Predator/Puck Stacker kit.

My ? is,...is there a way to find out if a programmer has already been install to the ECM by the first owner? The manual says not to install over a non-factory tune or serious damage can occur.

theres not realy any way to tell from our end. . .the dealer can sometimes tell depending on what downloader is used.

if you do have a downloader and attempt to install the programming, yet it doesnt install, then you know there is still a program on it. if you install the program and the truck runs rough or lacks power, there probably had been a programmer on it at some point in time from a different manufacturer.

I gave it a try and had no trouble what so ever with it.

I'll tell you what!! I will never go back to a gasser again! I can't BELIEVE how much power you can get out of this Cummins and I have only scratched the surface so far!?
