Truck I found

Hopefully that link works.

At any rate, it's a '99 Ram 2500 with 113K on it for $11K.

Most of the diesel trucks I see from that year (regardless of brand), with that kinda mileage, are at least $15K.

I ran a carfax and it was hit from the rear in 2001, with "moderate" damage, but the title is still clear.

What gives?

Initially when I was looking for a used truck I found too many times that those pictures don't show the whole story. The truck may look good in the picture, but up close and personnal you'll find cosmetic issues, rust, and other damage. I'd be a little afraid of "moderate" damage hit from the rear. The old saying "If it sounds too good to be true, then it's probably not" comes to mind here. I'd have a third party you trust go over it really good if you are considering it.

I think it's priced right where it should be. It's worth a look that's for sure.

I wouldn't let the fact that a truck is made in Mexico scare me away. If you like the truck and it's priced right, go for it !!

It may be low priced do to it being hit in the rear and the damage done to it. Its called diminished value from being in a wreck.

This is yet another 2-hours-away truck at a dealership with crappy hours (9-7 through the week but I work til 5, and they're open a whole 4 hours on Saturday, 10-2, whoopie). I kinda doubt I'll get a chance to look at it before it sells.

Plus, I'm not sure sure about the 24V's after reading about how they have such problems with lift pumps...and it reminds me of that other dodge I looked at that ended up being a POS but looked great in pictures (the '98 12V quad cab), 'course that one was overpriced, not a steal.

Anything newer than a 98 is gonna have 24 valves. I wouldn't let that scare me at all. Just get a FASS and you're good to go !!
