Got a direct readSWfuel pressuregauge off a gentleman on Ebay. Came with the banjo adaptor. Is it better to hook to the pump or the filter housing? Hope someone can help. Thanks.

 

Mine is done off the pump if I recall.

 

Thanks for the input. I was wondering if there was a reason to prefer one location over the other.

if you tap off the top of the filter lid then you only see what the lift pump is pushing

if ytou tap at the CP3 then you will be able to tell when your fuel filter needs to be changed, and tell if the pump is dieing.

 

Thanks again. The pump it is then. Also ordered the relocation kit with a new pump. Both should go in when I'm back in town.

 

how hard is it to instal a fuel pressure gauge? i have minimal mechanic skills. Thanks

 

The Gauge I bought came with instructions. Basically just tightening fittings and routing plastic hose. I'm putting mine where the air bag cut out switch is. They make ones with electric sending units too. Less plumbing but you need to be comfortable with wiring. More pricey too.

 

Get an electronic gauge. That's what I have ( Autometer ). Trust me, if i can instll it, ANYONE can install it !!

 

mine reads out on the attitude..which i believe installs in the same place...and...as mayfair said..if I ( and i guess him too!) can install it! ANYONE CAN!
