Hi first timer .I have a 2003 Dodge cummins crew cab with the long box with the auto trans.I will be looking at a 36 ft or so 5th wheel in the spring and am thinking I should get an exhaust brake .I am also thinking of chipping the truck after the warrenty runs out any help or suggestions would be most welcome thanks Sonny
There are several high quality manufactureers that make them. Chec kwith both Banks exhaust brakes and the Jake Brake exhaust brake. I am not sure what other people are using, but those are the two that I am also considering.
look up box..as in you have a switch in the cab to lock up the tranny if u dont want it to down shift? i am doing that when I put in ym new tranny monday! so SWEET!
I think you can get boxes that will intelligently switch on and off. I am gonna have to do some research, or maybe Drew has all the answers. He usually does.
