My 3 week old 2007 Ram QC 4.4 w/ 6.7L only has 1200 miles on it. Today on startup it threw code P2A01 with the engine light on. This appears to be a problem with an O2 sensor. Digging around on google this does not appear to be one of the codes thats been effecting the 6.7L.

I believe it has the latest flash updates. The dealer said an RRT was performed in Sept. just before I bought it. I looked up the RRT # he gave me and it refers to the TSB Flash Rev. A that came out in June. However, I'm assuming that Rev. B (AU) has been performed since by Sept. it superceeded Rev. A.

Will be taking it to the dealer on Thursday. Seems to be running fine. I suppose it's a good thing that this error is not one of the rather common issues with the 6.7L. Maybe just a bad O2 or loose wire or have there been more serious issues that would cause this error?[/align]

 

there are no O2 sensors on these trucks. . .most likely there was an issue witht he DPF and how it translates differential pressures for the regen mode.

 

Just got back from the dealer. The code relates toleft side front and back temp sensors. The code tripped because the temp sensors showed more than 500F degrees difference between them. I'm not sure just what sensors being referred to.

Dealer reset the code. If it comes back I'll take it back in for further diagnostics. I have a great dealer that takes care of things. It was my choice to have it cleared as I had just stopped by without any appt. and couldnt leave it there for the day. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

 

My malfunction light has been on at least 12 times and all my dealer keeps telling me is that its a malfunction with the software. I keep getting code 245a egr cooler bypass circuit open.. The last time I took it in he wrote cel performed rrt o7-o37 excessive soot 18-19-o4-37-.7. Mean anything to you? Wondering if I need to call customer service. He keeps turning off the light and says he will call me with updates.
