Tq wrench problem
I am an idiot. I bought a torque wrench for ft-lbs and need one for in-lbs. I'm trying to adjust my transmission bands. Do any of you guys know a conversion, or do I have to return this thing?
I was just thinking the other day about what is all involved with adjusting the bands. What is the process for it? I've been looking for a Hayes or Chilton manual (although not very hard) to see if I could adjust the bands myself.
If youhave a write up on it, that would be awesome.

good point. . .I didnt think of the torque specs needed.
if you go below 20% of the rated load the accuracy deminishes greatly. besides I use German torque standards. . .Good-n-tite

Well if you dont have a ft lbs already then i would just keep it and get one in inch pounds for smaller jobs. After I adjusted my bands the slipping stopped for a while, but now it still does it every once in awhile. I know I need to upgrade some things on the tranny but everything is soooo expensive, not sure what to do.
