I just got my truck back from the deakership for the second time for hard starts. After awek thry said it could be a algae problem. Does anyone know where I can get some biodcides to clean this out.

I use the racor in our farm tanks and my road fuel tank and have not had a problem.

Algae in diesel fuel is more of a problem with marine diesels than with trucks. Go into any West Marine or Boaters World (or online) and you will see several biocide products for treating your fuel.

Also, the algae can't survive in pure diesel fuel, there must be some water at the bottom of the tank. You should probablytreat your fuel tank witha product like Power Service Diesel 911. Check out the directions at the bottom of this page: http://www.powerservice.com/d911/default.asp?view=app

I get mine from West Marine, very cheap insurance and a little biocide goes a long way. Anywhere there are large temperature varations, there will be an opportunity for moist air to be drawn into the fuel tank. Don't expose your skin to biocide!!!
