Default Radiator swap

well, todays been just great.

got to work ok this mornin.

walked out to fetch a tool and noticed the faint odor of antifreeze near the truck.

opened the hood and found that the left tank had slightly opened a seam at the upper rad hose. Ive seen the tell tale signs of it comin on.

needless to say, I found a NEW rad for this ol dog at $227 with tax. on the way home too

its in . trucks been idlin for 30 minutes or so to get the air out. will post a few picks of the new and old rads. just for reference.

btw Jimmy, ur rad is not avail after market yet..dealer only

Most radiator shops can replace that tank for around $75. I had mined replaced 2 years ago instead of buying a new radiator and it has worked fine ever since.

that would have been a great time to change your spark plugs and muffler bearings. Did you get the high performance Radiator cap?

Sucks, but at least it happened while you were at home instead of on the road. Glad to hear you got it all worked out. Thanks for the pics !!
