Default RE: Had to drive a Ferd Today

My buddy bought on 08 F-250 about 5 months ago. He had about six thousand miles on it when the engine blew up at 70 mph. A week before he had sucked about 3 gallons of water into the intercooler during a flood we had (He wasn't being stupid or anything). I helped him drain the water from the intercooler and it wasn't pretty. I told him to take it back to ford, but he waited a few days and it continued to knock really bad. He failed to mention to them that it had sucked in all that water, so they thought it was a bad injector and they replaced one of them. After it blew up it took them a month to replace the engine. They wouldn't give him a new truck. After about six thousand on the new engine it started knocking again. Its still in the shop, been there for 3 weeks. To top things off, while it has been there it has been broken into and gotten significant hail damage. I talked to him just a little while ago and he said he wishes he could have his $52k back. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I have to say it: DON'T GET A 2008 Super Duty.
