Drew is correct it is the (C2) connector 3rd row from the top 2nd pin from the left (#22). There is a clutch switch kit available from Cummins (p/n 408985100) or Mopar (p/n 5175417AA) that gives you the pin for the plug and a switch to mount near the clutch pedal. It basically makes the ground signal to pin 22 break if you push the clutch in. This is a redundant safety feature, as high idle will be cancelled by touching the break or any speed in put from the ABS system. So a ground to pin 22 is all that is needed. I went with the kit just to have a mod to do. The high idle feature is located in the options menu on the star scan tool, and yes I had to teach the tech at my dealer about the option and help him pick it out and turn it on. BTW the schematic does not show anything at all for pin 22.

My truck has not had any flashes done to it sinceleaving the factory. I'll PM with the vin digits.

Triton, I have heard both good and bad things about getting flashed. I had some rough times with my Ferd and flash up dates. I am curious as to what they have done for my truck, if they have indeed raised the base idle like several have found I am going to stay away. I already have the cruise control manual high idle done. I think somewhere in my future there is a smarty waiting but probably not for a while (55K miles at least).

That is the wrong connector. The one you are looking for is ECM C2, not PCM C3. Look at it again.

There are some problems with a flash. I have seen a few people lose power and milage as Triton said. If you have any non-dodge programs or downloads, you will lose them.
I don't like to promote the use of aftermarket programmers because after all I do work for a dealer and have to answer to Dodge. But if I can share my personal opinion about the ones that I have seen. The bully dog seems to cause more problems than the Edge with attitude. I have a "friend" that is diesel certified and he has had a 2004,2005,2006 and now a 2007 6.7. We have used his truck as a test vehicle and he prefers the Edge. The Edge produces less power but is less destructive. The Bully Dog is a good programmer but you have to buy more stuff to make it safe. If you have a Bully Dog, please don't take offense, I am just sharing info. BTW I love horsepower and am a fan of anything that gets me more. I just ordered a programable chip for my 'stang so I can dyno tune it.

Parts / Service, any word yet on my original ?? Not trying to rush you just interested. BTW I don't have any programming on my truck. I just have a "chip" or "box" if you will that adds 65HP. It plugs into 2 sensors and fools the ECM to make it add power. In fact since it is raining out and the roads are slick from several months of drought, I am running in stock mode (chip disconnected).

NickBeek, I don't see anything that you need to be concerned about. The only flashes that I see are if you have a specific problem. These are flashes to correct issues after your check engine comes on. You dont have to update the software especially if you are not having any problems. If you do have problems and the check engine light comes on and there is a flash to correct it, you will get the latest software to cover all flashes related to your truck. I don't know of any nor do I see any that will raise your base idle.
