Can you get me the details of the latest flash for my May '06 built "06 2500? What is does specifically. I know there are at least two updates available for my truck, but I do not want to have the base idle raised like some have mentioned on other forums. If you can not publish this please feel free to PM me. Thanks in advance.

I can try and get the info that you need. But I need a few things from you to try. One thing I need is the last 8 digits of your VIN. I also need to know the last flash that you received. That should be on a white sticker on the upper radiator support. You can PM me the info and let me see what I can come up with. I will also talk with my diesel tech because I don't remember a flash that raises the base idle.

I'd like to know also. I have to take mine in for a couple little warranty fixes. When I asked them about the high idle they just looked at me goofy and said they'd have to find out. I'm not interesteed in a whole new flash just to have the high idle turned on. Thanks.

most auto's already have it turned on from the factory. . .just turn on the cruise, hit set and if the RPM;s jump to 1100 your good. use the accell button to bring the RPM's up to 1500 and the coast to bring them down.

us stick guys have to ground a pin on the ECM plug B in order for us to be able to use this function.

The high idle is very easy for the dealer to turn on. Give me a few minutes and I will see if I can find a step by step guide to take to them. I hate to say it but if they don't know how to turn this on, then they shouldn't be working on diesels.

Thanks,
Already tried it it isn't on from the factory. The service manger said nobody ever asked him that before.

Theywere cool about my edge w/ attitude. He said he could probably pull me around the parking lot withhis bullydog. I don't think they're gonna bust my ballsif any warranty issues come up.

Ok DREW, you got me on this one. I have not heard this trick. Which wire is it that you have to ground? I have been looking at the wiring diagram trying to figure this out, because I know its possible. But have not tried it on a truck yet.

you guys should remember too that one you reflash... you can't go back. I've read that some have done it and lost mileage and power and were very unhappy with the new flash.

Nick I know you aren't looking for warranty voiding mods but, the bully dog has many of the same options the dealer can enable in the ECM. You have the option of turning things on and off like, the high idle, you can set the fog lights to stay on with the high beams... etc. There's a bunch of them.
