Default Can this hurt?

Just got a used car from an estate, will be keeping the "TRUCK" ina warehouse, except for out of town trips.Going to drive the car to work during the week 4.5 miles. Question....is it any harm in driving the truck only on week ends? I know too alway keep at least half tank of fuel, anything else?......Thanks.

Later Tater

Oh,and a big thank you for ever who suggested Howe"s meaner cleaner diesel addative.

The biggest concern I would have about letting it sit that much would be stuff growing in the fuel tank. I would investigate this in depth and take actions to prevent it. The other thing would be that you will need to take it out and get it fully warmed up when you dirve it, and you will need to change fluids based on time in vehicle verses mileage.

Mine seems fine too. It sits in the garage for most of the week but it gets run pretty well on the weekends.

mines fine too, and i work in camp for 4 weeks at a time and i only drive it 2 weeks out of 6, i leave my fuel tank rite topped for no condensation....and then i just use some good additive when i do drive it...
oh, and everytime i get out of camp i drive 1500 k for a trip down to edmonton, and 1500 back....so the truck still gets a good haul every month.

Mine also only gets driven on weekends...Someone else pays for the truck and fuel used during the week, thus the only reason to drive a ford

I was letting mine set for weeks at a time and did have a problem, it was very hard to start and would idle rough. Took it to the dealer they tough it was bad injectors they tried an injector cleaner first before they sprung for the injectors and that did work. I was not running any additives at that time, not sure if it was growth in the tank or something else. The dealer told me to drive the damn thing and hard, it only had about 9000k on it in 14 months.
