Default new job update...

well for those who care, and everyone should! that's what family is for day 3 at the new job has already brought success... took over a project yesterday from another test engineer since the testers he's working on are due in San Jose... code is basiclly a shell, needs work to be complete. spent most of yesterday getting familiar with the current version of TestStand from Nat Instruments and today implementing the changes I came up with. once I was thru with it I sat down with the design engineer to go over what I had to verify I covered everything he wanted. After going thru the test, I basiclly have something close to production ready, 2~3 changes I have to make to it tomorrow to the core code, then integrate the production stuff (barcode scanner, boot straight into the s/w stuff etc) and it's ready to go.

the one good thing is I get paid for tomorrow since I'm under contract gotta love that. from my conversation with the boss, looks like I should be perm in 30~60 days. that will be a good thing!

anyways, there's the update.
