I believe if you remove the master cylinder it makes it a lot easier. Of course 2500's should not have spark plugs. Had to do it.

Yeah 70 at 2000 rpms was nice, I beleive 75 was about 2300 or so as well. I would like to find a way to drop it a tad lower though too. i was thinking about 35 inch tires, lower the gear ratio a tad.....

Hey Steve, I began reading your first question and I wasalready thinking about mentioning my total distance traveled on a fill-up, when I then read the final stating w/o an aux. tank..........my aux. holds 50 gal. along with squeezing in 35gal. on the main, I can roll quite aways on 85 gal of fuel.

I use Stanadyne Performance which adds about 1 to 2 better mpg. I'm used to not trusting the overhead, but I still view it as an reference. Hand calculated, with a nuetral wind, I see around 18 mpg running 70mph. With a strong tail wind, I've seen as much as 21 mpg, and with a head wind as low as 16mpg.

Traveling your distances, as I do, I see having the additional tank as a convienence as I can fill up less often, and at the less expensive stations. It's a little weight to tote around, but the dually really doesn't care, if anything, it tames the ride some !

I drive 60 miles roundtrip to work and back each day. I have yet to get to 400 miles before the light comes on. I usually get 14.5 to 15.5 hand calculated. I do have 285/70/17's which probably hurts a little, but I would kill to get 500 miles on a tank.

Has anyone tried the Edge Milage Max? I guess it's pretty new from what the Edge tech told me. The tech told me that all the products offer about the same amount of milage increase, they just all have different power level settings. The Milage Max gives about 35 hp, and I think it said 70 ft.lbs. For $275.00 off ebay, I might try it just to see if it helps any. I am a little skeptical though.

I get about 20 mpg average. On stock tires. I travel a whole bunch and it is mainly highway.
