Mileage info... or questions I should say.
Well after starting work some 80+ miles away, I can safely say that I will be going thru alot of fuel now. On my 1st full tank of the commute, I ran 568 miles before dumping in 34 gallons to the neck. Previously, I added 3.5 gallons after the 1st click off on the pump, this time it was 4.5 so the mpg is off by 1 gallon. equaled something like 17 mpg. Not bad for climbing 2700' each morning.
So, my question is, who's getting over 600 on a regular basis?
anyone poke into the 700's? (w/o an aux tank)

when im around 370miles its time to refill the tank,i wont take any chance going more than that lol
but i do put about 100L when empty,4.4L per gallon right? about 22 gallons that net me 16.8mpg
depends if i carryed load or not but i never been trought a tank whitout carrying about 400-500more pounds
for 150-200 miles or so...

So far my best was 625 highway miles, but I only fill to the first click (I think it makes the mileage calculations more accurate if I do it the same way every time) and got 27.5 gals in before it shut off.
The red light had come on about 8 miles before I stopped and I was worried it would die on me if I went any further.
I know under the same conditions it would go 700 miles if I topped the tank off.

On vacation in MN I got 577 and change right before I pulled off the hiway. My morning commute is about 9 miles and the fastest I ever go is about 45 mph, so My mileage in town is where I track the most fuel loss, I am getting about high 15's low 16's in town. That 577 mile tank ended up netting me a tad over 18.02 hand calculated. I always fill to where I can see diesel sitting in the filler neck right at the bend after the froth goes down.

I am only at about 8000 miles on the ticker though, so I am expecting to go up yet in a few thousand miles. I gotta find some really heavy to pull through the mountains, that oughta do it.

I've been playing around with settings and additives lately. With the quad off, no additives I get around 14.5 mpg. With the quad on 60 hp, no additives I get in the high 16's. With the quad on 60 w/ 12 oz PS I get high 18's, almost 19 sometimes. Its tough to get through a whole tank w/o pulling the horse trailer, but if I can and I really run it low I can push 600 miles. Makes me nervous though.

It also helps to keep the boost below 15psi... when I came back from Whitney I kept it below 10 and was able to get the one and only 19 mpg.
When I filled up in the past I always stopped at 2 clicks. Now that I see how to fill it up to the bottom of the neck, that's the way I'll be doing it from now on. I could see how the fuel would foam up and then settle down when the tank was getting full, so I played with it and was able to get another 4 gallons of fuel in it. allows me to go a solid 3 days before needing to refill.
amayer, are those numbers hand calculated and are you running stock tires?

Steve, I feel your pain on the amount of fuel. 76 miles each way for me
1/2 is running about 65mph and the other 1/2 is highway running 75. I normally get about 600 on when the low fuel light comes on and fill up at around 625-650.... based on the amount of fuel I pump each time I could probably push 700 but don't like to take the risk that I'll be walking
And I don't spend the time to top off the amount you do, I push in maybe an extra gallon or so after the first time it clicks off.
But of course, remember, I'm the guy Mayfair hates because of my milage... I seem to be average a bit on the high side compared to everyone else. 20-21 mpg
Unfortunately, I did not get hardly any kind of improvement by adding either the rokk tech or the superchip, but neither made it worse either so I won't complain. I'll be interested to see what going to the 305/65 procomps do to milage compared to the 245/70 michelins I have right now.
