Default Daytime Running Lights

Saw in alldata that daytime running lights require a module for use in Canada on some models/years of RAM.

My 2007 Toyota only required a fuse to be installed as it was pre wired from the factory. Toyota wanted $$$ and another package.

Does dodge do the same thing? How can I turn the DRL on? Is the 2007 Ram Mega Cab, Diesel also prewired for DRL?

If your truck was made for Canada, the DRL's should be on. The DRL's can be enabled at the dealer with the STAR scan on 06 and up models.....Might be able to do it on 02 through 05 but I am not positive....

I have a 2007 Ram 2500, and so far, the 2 dealers that I have talked to said there is no way to activate DRL's on my truck.

Like Parts and Service said they need to use the Star scan tool to trun them on. I hate it when the people who work on our trucks don't know much about the tools they use. I guess its to hard to read how to operate it.

ohh that is gonna make some Dealership reeeeaaalllyyy happy. Guy prints out the instructions and hands it to them ... 'here do this!' The power of information in the wrong hands is a wonderful thing!

If its any thing like they did on my 06 all they have to do is change the country code from USA to Canada.

Heres a few pics to just show what the bully dog vehicle options does with the lights.

The pics are of the daytime running lights, running lights w/ fog lights, regular lights and fogs, and another cool option instead of that brite box(?) is the high beams w/ the fog lights, just thought id share. Oh and the daytime runnin lights turn off when in park or the ebrake is engaged.
