I have a 1998 doge ram 2500 it has the 5.9 and it suxxxxx the gas. so can i put a cummins diesel in it. If i can, how do i do it or is there already forums about this.? Where can i buy a cummins?

 

if you can get your hands on a wrecked truck, putt the engine and trans out and your golden. but that is going to be hard since most yards gobble these trucks up quick just for the engine and trans.

one question though, how much are you willing to spend since most likely it is going to be cheaper and easier in the long run to find a used CTD and go from there.

 

what about all the wiring and crap?

if you find a 98 with a 12 valve engine get it. . .that is one of the most coveted combinations. the 98.5-02 24 valves have issues with the injector pump.
