just wondering if anyone has ever swaped a 6spd for an automatic i have an 02 with the 6 speed and if so what goes about doing it thanks -shane

 

probably harder than going the other way since you have electronic controls to deal with. you might investigate going to a non-controlled auto fromthe early to mid 90's. I do know that the trannies in the Jeep GC's were a 46RH model which was non-electronic IIRC and then they switched to the RE version sometime in the mid 90's. I'd assume the auto's behind the CTD's were the same.

We need to just trade pickups. I want a 6spd manualbut i think i'll just end up rebuilding my auto tranny.
