Default auto to manual swap or new auto?

In the next year or two i will be adding 75hp injectors, methanol/water injection system, aurora 3000 and miscellaneous other performance mods. but before i do any of that i am upgrading my transmission. i am wondering do i swap my auto for a NV-4500 from ats or do i just buy a brand new auto like the ats stage 4 auto transmissions or similar. from what i under stand the manual transmission is cheaper but i dont know how easy the swap will be.

I'm partial to manual trannies so that's what I would say but I also have to agree with Jake about hotrodding around town and such.
