2007 MegaCab Fuel Mileage
All - trading my 2005 F250 6L for a 2007 Megacab...they have the 5.9 and the 6.7 available. Which would you get...adv/disadv? What kind of mileage can I expect with each...both are autos.
Does Dodge plan on coming out with a longer bed for the Megacabs any time soon? Thanks.

if you can get a 5.9L I would get that one. very few problems and has been a proven platform for many years. the 6.7L has some issues but Dodge is working through them and getting things figured out.
as far as a factory long bed on the mega cab, thats not going to happen. now you can take the truck to a place in texas that will extend the frame for the long bed
I believe the site is long bed mega cab.com
fuel mileage, you could expect 15-17 off the lot, but after 10K the mileage will go up and you may be able to see upwards of 19mpg.

I've had both a 5.9L and a 6.7L within the last year. I'm driving a 6.7L (nuff said).
Seriously, aside from lower fuel mileage, the 6.7L with the 6 speed auto is a much better combo (IMO). Let the flaming begin!

oops, forgot to mention, my truck as it sits, I can squeeze 18 mpg out of it. I am damn curious to see what it'd do with stock or near stock tires on it.

Either one will be an improvement for you, it was for me after trading in my '04 F250. I am partial to the 5.9 b/c it is much more simple than the 6.0 or the 6.7.
