Default Programmer MPG!

Well today just traded off the 04 4.7 Ram I had for a 06 CTDanyway I'm not addicted to power just yet being I had the ol 4.7 for over 2 years but I would like to program it and I have three main things I want out of a programmer...Safe, Better MPG and no footprints left in my computer! I've looked at the Smarty programmer but I'm not sure if its the only one undectable, I've heard bully dog isn't... Any Suggestions?

I'm stationed 1300miles from home so I need all the H/W mpg I can get since I try to make the trip 3 times a years or so.....

yeah the smarty is the only one I know of that is not supposed to leave a foot print. You could go with an Edge or TST or one of the other boxes that go between the comp & injectors... I have the TST and am currently running mpg test on the different settings, best so far is 18.2 on the econo 2/2 setting. the trip is 85 mi one way & up approx 2800'.

Thanks for the input and the welcome into the world of CTD (I'll never go back)! I would like the "on the fly" preferably witha **** in the cab.

Steve what kind of TST are you using, you ever had you comp checked by a dealer? I've heard alot of places wont usually catch it if you return your settings to stock and you didn't really break somethin (like shred a tranny)

Anyone one else been checked with a programmer that had returned to stock settings? Did they catch ya or did ya slide by?

I have the TST powermax with CR49 programmiing... http://www.tstproducts.com/index.asp...D=135&HS=1 goes between the computer and the sensor/injectors. there is no remaping of the computer so they could never know. they did have my truck 2x's and were unable to tell anything was out of place.

Well thats good they can't find it, I checked out the link and found this on their site "
TST recommends NOT installing the PowerMaxCR computers for trucks built June 2006 and later. We are currently working on the incompatibility issues for these trucks but do not know when it will be resolved."

Are the Quadzilla modules and workhorse modules like yours at all, Iwould like it to be a set-up that they won't be able to see like yours...

Quadzilla claims up to 4mpg, workhorse almost doesn't seem legit, lol anyone runnin one?

I think I am going to go with a Superchip. I have had them on previous trucks and liked them.

Ok I'm thinking about either the:
Power Puck $170 RPMOutlet.com
Preditor Triple Play $250 RPMOutlet.com
or TS MP-8 $460 thoroughbreddiesel.com

They all have fairly close HP/TQ gains and on the fly switch in the cab. All are stackable and so said "undectable" TS claims theirs isn't guys on the forum said the power puck isn't, never heard anything on the Triple play though....and since my main concern is MPG I'm lookin for real world results, not just what the company claims.... I hear about 1mpg on the puck though on either setting.

The puck and 3-Play are lookin real nice price wise though....
