Mine got noticably louder when I got rid of the chatty cow that was occupying the seat to my right!!!

Seriously though, when I replaced my exhaust and intake I asked Dodge about mods and warranties. The service manager said that a non-warranty repair had to be proven to be caused by the modification.

Sorry can't really help got the 5.9.

I believe you can do anything you want with the muffler cause it's behind all of the sensors. I think most people just straight pipe them.

Personally I like the Banks monster exhaust. Most on here don't like the Banks because it is expensive, but the muffler is well worth it. It provides backpressure but doesn't restrict exhaust flow. It is definitely louder than stock, but not annoying on road trips. Banks tests new products to death. They don't have much for the 6.7 yet, but they may very soon.
