it is an upgrade dodge is doing for the engine. . .aparently the whiz kidz have figured out what is causeing alot of these trucks to keep throwing CEL's.

if your truck is fine I wold still take it in.

If you mean the G30 recall, its not replacing the O2 sensor. But is replacing the O2 sensor module.......
The On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system on about 74,000 vehicles may not detect a failed oxygen sensor or illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Light as required. In addition, the OBD system may cause these trucks to fail an Inspection Maintenance (Readiness) test and may not store mileage as required for certain
transmission faults.
The Oxygen Sensor Module must be replaced and the Engine Control Module (ECM) must be reprogrammed (flashed).
NOTE: The new software will also improve vehicle driveability and reduce the potential for exhaust soot accumulation in the vehicle’s particulate filter. Hope this helps.

Also if you can get an appointment soon, get it done. The dealer is only allowed to order five modules per week as of right now. So make sure they reserve one for you before you go in.....

Had mine done yesterday. Took all of 30 minutes (already had the latest flash). I have not noticed anything different (but didn't expect to either).

BTW - I got 18.4 mpg (hand calc) on my trip down to VT - FSU game this weekend. Go Hokies!

thanks for the info guys, really appreciate it. I'm just a little reluctant to bring it in, because I still think they detuned my ctdwith all the reflash updates they have done. just really not that confident in them not detuning my motor even more.
