Default Great news guys!

Well the shop I work at is slowing down due to high fuel prices .
Which means they are cutting jobs.
For those of usthat don't get cut , it means training.
Since I'm one of three welding techs in the shop I will be looseing my job as
a final assembly welder for awhile and training new welder for about 5 weeks.
I can't wait , this is gonna be great standin around drinkin coffee, lookin at weld joints
and sayin , yep your almost there keep tryin.
Ahh the life of laziness .
Finally karma is not kickin my butt.

Then after you have trained him, they get rid of you and put him in the position at a fraction of the cost...careful what you wish for.

Sorry, hope I don't jinx you, just expressing my concern as that would be my luck of the draw it seems.

Nah , Not goin happen I'm the second best welder in the shop rankings.
The ranking are done by leak rate and quanity.
So they really like me.
Besides it takes a year or 2 before they even get close to my skill level.
I do feel bad for all the people cut , but they'll be rehired in the spring.
This is a big slow down , but it's been goin on like this for awhile.

I envy the guy that got to stand their and look at my welds I busted my *** on day in and out so he could pressure check them and see how much it took to destroy them during my good ol trainin days he had it made lol great guy though

Woligator , I build cooling units for gas absorptionrefidgerators.
I know sounds boring , but it very tedious work at times.
If ya own a camper or RV theres a 50% chance that you own one ofour fine products.
The only problem I have with my job is it gets old doing the same thing every day.
Butwhen I'm training or trouble shooting other welders problems it can get fun.
