Hey PARTSANDSERVICE, (or anyone else) how much does the cord that plugs into the block heater cost from Dodge? How hard are they to put on? Anyone??? Anyone??? Anyone????

my dodge dealer charges around 40 for the cord. if you you to cummins, it is around 20. to put it on - unscrew the factory platic cover and push in the cord. then screw on the retaining nut by hand. a 5 minute job.

The dodge cord comes with protective sheathing, plug cover, and retaining clips in three places that line up with holes in the frame. As far as I've heard, the $20 Cummins cord is just the cord.

This is correct, but the Dodge cord (part # 56051181AB)is on backorder right now. But you can order part # 4798889 and it is not on back order. 4798889 is the one listed for a 2006 but it should work.....

I ordered mine from Geno's Garage last year for around 30. It had the retaining clips in the right spots and the plug cover just like the dealer item.
