Default Turbo adjustment

Just bought an 01 with 57000 miles on it. guy i bought it off of had 100 hp over stock injector put in it. he said the truck was on the dyno and it said 396 hp. i want to try to up the psi on the stock turbo. i heard that on the 12 valves you could punch some holes in the vacuum line from the turbo to the waste gate to hold it closed longer (my uncle did this and is now getting 35 psieasily)and wondered if there was any way to do something with mine like this.it has 37x14r16 procomp xterrains on it and they take a lot to make em turn. need more boost!

my friend has an 02 and he says they have a limiter on them for 15 psi, he said you can get a smarty programer to change the limit

if the waste gate line is rubber you can get a boost bolt and manualy adjust the boost up.

Auto trans has the hard wastegate line. You'll need a boost fooler to fool the ecm and you'll need either an aftermarket wastegate or plug that metal line.

lastnite i pulled the wastegate off and found out that someone else had already been there. there was a copper stud in the metal line to the wastegate to plug it. so i put it back together and was disappointed about not being able to do more. to my surprise though when the retard put the stud in he didn't completely seal the line from the turbo to the wastegate up. lets just say a pair of channel locks works nice and i got my 8-10 more psi by fixing someone elses screw up. i got it up to 28-30 psi now n it runs great.
