Default I this oil or underwear?

I have a 2007.5 2500 with the 6.7L that I bought in April. The "Oil Change Required" warning came on tonight for the third time since I bought the truck. The first time was at 2200 miles, the second time was at 4400 miles, and tonight at 7000 miles... and only 70 days since the last change. The miles are about 1/2 city and 1/2 highway. I tow a 4000 pound trailer about once a month and do not let it idle for more than a couple of minutes.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

A wise old biker oncetold me"if you washyour bike with your underwear then they're both clean". Probably works for trucks too.

I changed my oil at 1,800 miles, which was back in July. At that time I followed the instructions to reset the oil change reminder, even though it had not come on. My oil change reminder just started coming on this week, which is about 5,800 miles since I reset it. I intend to change it in the next week and send a sample for oil analysis to see how it's holding up.

I don't think the flash update does anything to the oil change reminder software.

Where are you sending the oil for analysis?

I was going to send it just to Oil Analyzers Inc, which is owned by Amsoil. However, Sabersix also has a 6.7L CTD and got his oil analyzed by Blackstone. I have sample kits from both, so I think I'll send a sample to both for this next oil change.
