Sounds interesting. Since the aromatics are also reduced, I wonder how the lubrcity is. I am no chemical engineer, but from what I understand aromatics = lubricity. Someone correct me if I'm off base.
It is sad that this is coming from overseas.
We could do this GTL in the USA.
In 1946 the US Army dismantled a **** coal to aviation gasoline plant in Germany and then reassembled it in Missouri and ran it for several years to find its secrets. My father studied it and wrote his senior thesis on it in 1951.
Did you know the greatest mistake of WW-II
was not having British and USA bomber fleets destroy
the **** coal to liquids plants?
What the British and USA bomb planners did not know
was that the ****'s were not only making gasoline & diesel from Coal
they were also making rubber for tires....and most importantly...explosives.
More than half of the explosives in **** ammo was coming from the coal plants.
With the loss of gasoline, diesel, rubber tires and half the explosives
the **** war machine would have collapsed quickly...Chief of **** Armament Plants Albert Hess told Hitler this and this is why the coal to liquid plants were the most heavily defended.
The second World War could have ended two years earlier than it did.
Over 10 million lives could have been saved.
The second greatest mistake of WW_II
was the Japanese being afraid to attack the Russians in Siberia
a second time (first time was in 1937)
If the Japanese had attacked the Russians
Japan-Germany-Italy may have won the war.
Why did the Japanese hold off attacking Siberia?
Because Col Jimmy Dolittle led a daring raid of US B-25 Bombers over Tokyo...which did little real damage but embarassed the Japanese top military brass and led them to decide to 'finish off' the Americans with a surprise attack at the little island of Midway.
After quickly sinking the remainder of the US Navy at Midway
the Japanese thought they could go on an attack of Siberia again.
How did Col Jimmy Dolittle successfully get to Tokyo?
Extensive knowledge of fuel ecomony of engines.
Why did Dolittle choose the B-25 bomber to fly?
Because another great but little known American
Reubin Fleet of Continental Aircraft Company
had designed the B-25 and its sister aircraft the Catalina PBY Flying Boat
to have a wing design with excellent aerodynamics
but still fat and thick enough inside the wing structure to hold a lot of fuel tanks.
Who had asked that this be done?
Pan Am Airlines...the one the US Government refused to guarrantee any loans for (unlike Chrysler) so this great pioneering airline went bankrupt and no longer exists.
