I have a 2004.5 dodge ram 2500 diesel. In spring I want to add a chip since i will be pulling a 34 foot (8000lb) trailer. I am stock now. Im going to add a AandE intake filter and inlet tube and delete my cat. But what about chips? Bullydog pmt (up to 250 hp gain) or edge juice attitude (130 hp gain I think). Edge is like $800 and Bullydog PMT is like $900 here in canada. (some bullydogs on net are $1000) Reason i pick these is I like having a screen that shows EGT, tranny temp, and boost. I would also like fuel psi data and the pmt comes with quadzilla fuel rail monitor for free. Does the edge juice monitor fuel as well? What is better bang for buck?
I really like my edge. Works great towing the camper. EGT's never get too high. Guy I know has a bullydog on his 05. Seems to make a lot of smoke and his EGT's get real high if he's not careful. My edge doesn't do fuel pressure though.
Ive heard people on another forum talk about both. i think the edge would be the better move. both work great but with the banks alot of money goes for paying for the name.
i dont know anyone around here who runs banks because they dont wanta pay for the name and they like edge or predator better then banks in the long run!
deffinately edge, bully dog screwed my truck up pretty bad computer wise and ruined some sensors, and my buddy who owns midwest diesel performance cant stand bully dog. he knows numerous guys that have had bully dog and there trucks also got screwed up. just my .02
