One of the big reasons I moved from Colorado to Nevada was to avoid the snow... One night in Ft. Collins I was hanging out at a bar - it was cold as hell that night, -15 or something like that, and snowing. I had parked out front, and they had an awning out front. I didn't notice it when I went inside, butthe snow that was falling onto the awning would melt from the entrance's heat, and then the water poured right off onto my windshield. By the time I made it back outside a few hours later at closing time, my windshield was covered in a sheet of ice a few inches thick - wasn't gonna drive home that night. I only lived a few blocks away, but since I was planning on driving there/back I hadn't bothered bringing a jacket, and none of my friends were there to give me a ride home.

I kinda miss skiing on a regular basis (was a lot easier to reach an area from Denver than Las Vegas), and I liked the peaceful tranquility of being snowed in (until you have to get out the shovel). On the other hand, I like having warm weather more than 9 months per year - I was swimming outside well into October, decided to hang out on my patio today and BBQ a steak.

nature is perversed those years...

yesterday morning was snowy, than it goes over0 so turned to rain BUT the road was cold so turned to ice
so a 3/4hr trip turned into 2 1/2 nigthmare, when all my 6 tires spins around as soon u hit 20mph it can be waaaaaaaaay long to get back
lots of car into ditches, fields and so on,i even see a 10 wheeler whit a 52' behind it in the wrong direction on the higway,i wonder how scary it was for the driver to do a turn around on the higway whit only 2 lane
i also saw a F350 whit a trailer that do the same but ended bashing on a fence....not really nice
And this morning its cold enough so snow again but watch out a nice coat of ice under it and my ctd is covered in ice as my wife car,and guess who will scrap those 2 vehicle? yeah me,she says i have to go out anyway so better do his car too .... damn the worst part is that i paid his car....

speaking of car and wife my brother new mazda 6 he bough last month ended in the ditch nose first yesterday, thanks to his girlfriend..he was rather pissed at it,she better stay nice and shut up for a couple of days he was rather mad :P

Woli, I totally understand the snow thing! We got 6 inches on the 22nd of Oct and have had about 18 inches total since then here in northern B.C. That is why I have my studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT's on with about 500 pounds of weight in the bed! BTW still got 18 mpg UStraveling down to Seattle area for Thanksgiving!
