I've got codes ... what are they ??
OK, I went to Autozone and the guy pulled the following 3 codes off of my truck
P0720 - Speed Sensor
P-0237 - input voltage for boost "A" is too low for the current engine operating conditions
P-1693 - turbo charge control circut malfunction
Does anybody have any ideas what the heck all of that means? The speed sensor I guess is the only ting that kinda makes sense based on my current problem. My Ram still feels like it is pulling away from a light in 2nd gear. Kinda like you are winding out the clutch ( even though I have an automatic )
I've done a search on the location of where the speed sensor is on a 47RE but i can't find anything. Anyone know? I'm guessing I should start by replacing that huh? I didn't buy one yet till I talked to you guy's.
Whadda ya think?

RE: I've got codes ... what are they ??
237 and 1693 looks to me like you have a problem with your edge box not being able to fool the computer properly.
the speed sensor deal may just be the sensor not working properly. while it is working, it probably not sending a good signal.
the speed sensor is actualy mounted on the top of the pumpkin and reads off a tone ring bolted to the carrier in the axel.

Do you think I got those 1st 2 codes after unplugging the harness from the back of the Edge? That is what I was thinking.
I bought a speed sensor from Autozone and was all set to put it in, but when I went to my friends shop to do it ( because it's prefft cold utside right now [:@]), he told me to get on from the dealer instead. The one from Autozone required you to cut off the entire connector and solder on a new one. My friend didn't think that was a good idea. He's rather me stick to factory stuff.
Do you think the sensor would give me the problems that I'm having?

Mayfair, as said above unplug the battery and let the codes clear.
The Rear Wheel Speed Sensor is a easy change. It's right on top of the dif.
All you do is get the new RWSS and a longer wire plug adapter.
The longer plug adapter is because Dodge changed styles and you need the wire for extra length.
The sensor is held on by a metal bracket with one or 2 bolts.
Loosen them and unplug the old one and pull it out.
The new one may be a little hard to get back because the O-ring is new , I used a little WD-40 to get
it to slide in. Now just reassemble execpt for adding the longer wiring plug in the middle.
That should it , Now all ya have to do is reset your clock and radio.
Hope it all goes well.
